Your journey to the oldest fishing lodge in the Queen Charlotte Islands is as little as 2 hours from Vancouver, and getting there is part of the adventure. You'll depart Vancouver by plane to Sandspit. Your alternative is a combined drive and ferries through the heart of Vancouver, about a 20 hour adventure. (Most of our visitors fly!) Near the end of your journey you'll travel about a half hour on a gravel logging road into the middle of nowhere. Literally. Leave the rest of the world behind for a while and enjoy the peace and quite that is Copper Bay Lodge. If your idea of "therapy" is kicking back in a rocking chair watching the sunrise, you've come to the right place.
The Lodge overlooks the Strait of Juan de Fuca, your personal sunrise reflecting pool. Within 10-45 minutes from the Lodge lies some of the best salmon and trout fishing in the world. The Lodge provides the ideal basecamp for your fishing holiday, combining home-cooked meals (perhaps the best in BC), comfortable beds and the best gear for your fully outfitted adventure.
Wildlife nearly overruns the Lodge.
